Cougars defend home turf

ACKLEY – AGWSR had both the meet medalist and runner-up to win its own home triangular hosted by the Ackley Country Club on Tuesday, April 2.
Alex Hames was the overall medalist, shooting 35, and Daniel Stahl was the medalist runner-up, one stroke behind as the Cougars shot 154 to top both Aplington-Parkersburg (169) and Hampton-Dumont (202).
“Alex and Daniel played well today,” coach Brad Hames said. “Daniel hit some nice shots into the green and Alex finished strong, going par, birdie, par.”
