Cougar guard duo to IPSWA All-State

DES MOINES – The AGWSR guard tandem of Mandy Willems and Aubrie Fisher were recognized by the Iowa Print Sports Writers’ Association, announced Tuesday.
Willems, a senior guard, who led the Cougars in scoring at 18.6 points, 82 steals and 29 blocked shots, and Fisher, a junior guard who led the team in assists with 95, and was second in scoring (13.1 points) and steals (62) were both voted to the second team.
The formidable duo gave opponents fits all season long as the Cougars finished 21-3 and made their first state tournament appearance since 2009.
