Corey Ahrens’ passion of helping people achieve and maintain healthier lifestyles is the heart behind one of downtown Hampton’s newest establishments.
Ahrens opened up Th3 Spot on Main Street last fall after previously running a personal training studio off of Highway 3. Ahrens said the move was made out of the desire to own fitness gym open to the general public.
A 24-year veteran in the personal training and fitness profession, Ahrens said what people can expect to the find at Th3 Spot is an involved and informative experience. He said that he offers free consultation, nutrition classes, seminars and workshops so people know what they need to meet their goals. Each client, he said, receives advice so he or she can lose the weight they want, counter a specific medical issue through exercise and nutrition or just maintain a healthier lifestyle.
“If you come in here with specific needs, I’m going to help you and show you how to do it properly,” he said. “For example if you’re taking medication for Type 2 Diabetes and want to get off it, I’ll tell you how to get off it.
