Are you ready for some high school sports action?
This Friday night marks the kickoff of the high school preps season.
With the pigskins sailing though the air, teams from across the state will converge en route to a state or district title. For many, high school athletics is one of the purest forms of sports. Kids stand side by side with their friends making life-long memories while renewing long-time friendly rivalries. For the Bulldogs, the varsity squad led by first-year coach Dan Aalbers will battle long-time nemesis Iowa Falls-Alden in Iowa Falls. The ‘Dogs will do battle with a youthful, yet talented bunch of players.  But the gridiron isn’t the only place to support your local teams. Our local athletes for volleyball, cheerleading, dance squad and cross country deserve just as much credit as the men in pads. Take a few moments this fall to enjoy a high school athletic event. Win or lose the athletes deserve the support and recognition for everything they do.
