Captain caps homecoming win over Forest City

HAMPTON — The Bulldogs’ captain and homecoming king experienced a scary moment shortly before halftime of their 20-0 victory against Forest City on Friday, Sept. 28.
Emilio Valenzuela, crowned homecoming king earlier in the week, was rolled up on while blocking in the first half, going out of the game until after the break.
All was well, however, as he returned in the second half and the line dominated a winless Forest City team for the Bulldogs first Class 2A District 3 win and evening their record to 3-3 overall.
“Just got rolled up on a play,” Valenzuela said. “Taped it up, went back for the second half..."
