LATIMER – Trailing 54-0 at the half, CAL outscored Clarksville 29-7 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as the Cadets broke the all-time Iowa state record for consecutive losses on Friday, Oct. 10.

CAL got into a hole early against the Indians and couldn’t climb out of it, giving up three touchdowns and two safeties in the first quarter alone in the 61-29 loss.

It was the 61st straight for the Cadets, whose last victory came at the end of the 2007 season to Janesville. The previous mark was held by Waterloo East at 60 and started in 2000 ended Oct. 13, 2006.
