HAMPTON – With a little help from a big pin for freshman 220-pounder Connor Donaldson, Hampton-Dumont was able to pull out a home dual victory over Forest City that lasted less than an hour.
But a lot of things came together for coach Nick Bretz’s team in the 42-36 dual win on Thursday, Jan. 19.
“Connor, he got in there and he got a win, wrestled smart,” Bretz said. “He’s been out for a week with a pretty bad sprained ankle. He’s probably on one day practice in a week and a half, so for him to wrestle that well is pretty good.”
The entire story appears in the Jan. 25 print and online editions of the Hampton Chronicle.
