Bulldogs still seeking first NCC win

HAMPTON – Even though Hampton-Dumont’s boys’ basketball team has shown signs of improvement, it is still seeking that performance where everything comes together.
The Bulldogs’ game against Humboldt on Tuesday, Dec. 11 wasn’t it in a 60-40 loss in which the Wildcats pulled away late.
“I thought we at least tried to compete for four quarters when we saw the lead getting a little bit larger,” H-D coach Heath Walton said. “I always get a little concerned, hoping we don’t think it’s out of reach and we don’t continue to work to improve and get better at things and I thought we did that..."
