Bulldogs land two on top NCC team

HAMPTON – Reaping the rewards of earning a share of the North Central Conference garnered two first team all-conference girls basketball selections.
Senior post Kennedy Wohlford and junior guard Jessica Speake were two of the six first team selections voted on by conference coaches which was announced last week.
Wohlford, at 6-foot-2, led not only the conference but all of Class 3A in blocked shots with 82. She averaged 11.8 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs, which finished 20-4 overall, 12-2 in the conference.
Speake, meanwhile, was fifth in conference scoring at a clip of 13.3 points per game, third in both assists (averaging nearly 5 per game) and steals (3.3 per game).
