HAMPTON – Hampton-Dumont’s football team and coach Dan Aalbers weren’t afraid to pull out what was remaining in the playbook for the final home game of the season.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to avoid a 41-13 loss to the Class 2A District 3 champions, Crestwood (5-3, 4-0), which lay claim to the honor with the win over the Bulldogs on Friday, Oct. 12.
“It wasn’t much to hide anymore,” Aalbers said. “Some of them worked, some of them didn’t. We completed a fake punt for a pass, which we hadn’t done yet.”
The full story appears in the Oct. 17 print and online editions of the Hampton Chronicle.
