Bulldogs cap 6-1 week with 5th place at North Butler tournament

ALLISON – Hampton-Dumont finished off a successful week with a 6-4 win over Grundy Center in the North Butler softball tournament on Saturday, June 17.
But for a run differential in a 6-1 loss against eventual tournament champion Clarksville, the Bulldogs could have been playing in the third place game against a Janesville team they had already beaten earlier in the week.
“I told the girls it is nothing they can do about it, it’s based on the runs, so we came out, took care of business in this (fifth place) game and got another win on the day,” H-D coach Kelsey Enslin said....
