Bulldogs 7-0 heading into No. 1 Clear Lake

HAMPTON – A 29-19 triumph over rival Clarion-Goldfield on Friday, Oct. 10 sets up one of the biggest football games in Hampton-Dumont history.

The Bulldogs (7-0), ranked as high as third in some state polls, will face top-ranked Clear Lake (7-0) on the road this Friday night for the Class 2A District 2 title.

“It’s Lion week, you know?” said H-D senior Kendrick Suntken, who scored three touchdowns (two receiving, one rushing) in the victory. “And (H-D head coach Jerry) Shaf(rath) gets all riled up for that and we’ll prepare pretty hard and it’s going to be a big game...."
