Beeds Lake receives facility upgrades this spring

Things are moving and shaking at Beeds Lake State Park in preparation for the summer camping season.

     Workers are completing the finishing touches on the campground’s second new shower house and restroom facility. The first one was completed last spring near the east side of the camping area, and workers installed the latest addition last Monday on the west side. The new building came pre-built and was placed on its foundation by a crane after it was trucked in.

     “We’re kind of the beneficiaries of a spark of capital improvement,” said park ranger Terry Manning. “There are a lot of parks that would be happy to get two modern shower houses in less than a year.”
