Band Shell trees responding well to iron treatment

     Hampton's City Park is enjoying a greener shade as three malnourished Pin Oaks start their recovery following a series of treatments.
     During a June workshop meeting of the Hampton City Council, city officials met with Gary Stenzel, an Iowa Falls tree specialist who had noticed that the trio of trees appeared to be suffering from an iron deficiency.            
     "They aren't absorbing enough iron from the soil," said council member Richard Lukensmeyer, who serves on the city's tree board.
