Auditor gives H-D good remarks during annual review

A financial audit, facility improvement updates and administration contract discussion topped a short Hampton-Dumont Board of Education meeting Monday night.

     Dennis Muyskens of the Hogan-Hansen C.P.A firm met with the board and reviewed the 2013-14 financial audit. Muyskens gave the district relatively high marks during the report, which included information from a weeklong study that analyzed Hampton-Dumont’s records from the past year.

     Muyskens felt segregating duties in the business office needed the most improvement, but he noted the problem is very typical of small districts like H-D.
