Arvin Stadtlander

Arvin Stadtlander, 73, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2025, at Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Hampton. Arvin will be laid to rest in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Hampton is caring for Arvin and his family.
Arvin Eugene Stadtlander was born April 21, 1951, in Des Moines, son of John and Esther (Jensen) Stadtlander. He graduated from CAL Community Schools in Latimer. Arvin enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1970-1974 during the Vietnam War.
On June 11, 1976, Arvin was united in marriage to Delores Spangenberg in South Dakota. To this union, two children were born. Arvin worked as a machinist at United Hydraulics in Hampton. He then worked in quality control and then in sales at Iowa Lazer Technologies in Cedar Falls.
Arvin was an active member at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing cards and helping on the farm.
Arvin is survived by his wife Delores Stadtlander of Hampton; son Anthony Stadtlander of Coulter; daughter Ginger (Nate) Hansen of Hampton; grandsons Hudson and Cooper Hansen of Hampton; sister Laura (Darwin) Hamilton of Iowa Falls; brother-in-law Marvin Spangenberg of Hampton; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Esther Stadtlander, in-laws Roy and Dorothy Spangenberg and an infant brother.
