AGWSR upset at home

ACKLEY – The Class 1A No. 8 AGWSR softball team couldn’t overcome Belle Plaine in the Region 6 final with a state berth on the line.
Too many runners stranded on base came back to haunt the Cougars in a 3-2 loss to the Lady Plainsmen.
Twice co-coaches Scott O’Brien and Brenda Drake saw their team leave the bases loaded in an inning as well as in the opening inning had runners in scoring position and were unable to plate them.
