ACKLEY – AGWSR rushed for 444 yards on its way to a dominating 41-12 homecoming victory over Wapsie Valley in a clash of Class A, District 4 leaders.

The third-ranked Cougars (4-0 overall, 2-0 in District 4) won for the 13th time in their last 14 regular-season games while sending eighth-ranked Wapsie Valley (2-2 overall, 1-1 in District 4) to its first district loss since Oct. 14, 2011.

“We did a great job,” Cougar coach Skip Eckhardt said. “That’s a program that’s been great since I was a kid, they have great coaches, they do things the right way.”
