AGWSR girls fail to finish

JANESVILLE – Seventh-ranked Janesville scored seven of the game’s final eight points to beat the No. 6 in Class 1A AGWSR girls.
A back-and-forth fourth quarter finished in favor of the Wildcats as the two teams traded the lead eight times over the final eight minutes. The Cougars last advantage was 50-49 on a MaKenna Kuper basket. Janesville’s Lily Liekweg then hit back-to-back buckets for a 53-50 lead and after a Rachel Sicard free throw, the hosts made three free throws over the final 1:17. Liekweg accounted for the host’s final seven points.
