Superintendents at CAL and Hampton-Dumont are reporting nominal changes in district-wide enrollment at their respective schools for the 2014-15 school year. As of last week, CAL's PK-12 enrollment remained completely unchanged compared to last year, while Hampton-Dumont reported a net loss of six students in that same grade range.

H-D Superintendent Todd Lettow said the district’s enrollment number changes almost every day. Each school must send the certified number to the state on Oct. 1 for budgeting purposes, and Lettow suspected the enrollment figure at H-D would fluctuate up and down before that date and afterwards.

Last week, the school district’s enrollment was at 1,268 students in PK-12, down from 2013’s number of 1,274. Twenty-nine students left the district throughout the year in 2013, and Lettow felt being down only six was a good sign.
