Local entertainers will deliver yet another laugh-filled performance this summer with the production of “Arsenic and Old Lace” at the Windsor Theatre July 12-13.

The three-act play features a 14-member cast and follows the story of Martha and Abby Brewster, two old spinster sisters that have developed a very bad habit. The dubious duo lures lonely old men into their home with the promise of a room for rent, but later poisons the guests and buries the evidence.

The murders aren’t unusual for the naïve Brewster sisters, however. They think they’re doing the men a favor by ridding them of their miserable loneliness, much to the horror of their nephew, Mortimer, a kindhearted film critic who just wants the best for his aunts.
