’Dogs snap skid

HAMPTON – It took a fourth offensive put-back for a score and-one for Hampton-Dumont to get over a 28-game losing streak on Monday, Dec. 18.

Cesar Damas found himself scoring as he was knocked to the floor with less than a second left to lift the Bulldogs to a 49-47 victory over visiting Grundy Center.

It ended a streak that had held since H-D was knocked out of the 2016 post-season by Roland-Story on Feb. 15, 2016.

“It’s a relief, but I think our coaching staff knew that some time we’d get a win, I just don’t know if our boys knew when that was going to be,” H-D head coach Heath Walton said...
